A self contained and fully independent stone built gite, newly renovated and adjoining the main house at Tourné. Very light and charming, Set in a peaceful forest valley next to the Artillac river in the Ariege Pyrenees national park. Suitable for two couples, four singles. Additional bed for a child or another person. Two bathrooms, central heating.
The gite has two entrance doors which offer additional privacy. there is a lounge with two sofas, a wood burning stove [wood is provided] and video/dvd player. Wireless internet. Upstairs bedroom [steep stairs!] with two singles or one double bed. Downstairs bedroom with mezzanine with double bed and en suite shower room, wc and sink. also one additional single bed if required. separate entrance to garden, windows with a view to gardens and direct access to forest footpath. Child's cot available.
Fully equipped kitchen with old stone sink, gas oven and cooker, toaster. washing machine with access to outside line for drying and use of tumble dryer in the adjacent barn. Fridge with freezer. Dining table with six chairs.
Downstairs separate bathroom with bath, wc and sink.
Access to river for bathing and use of substantial gardens. Outside seating area.

Vegetables and fruit may be available from the garden according to season.
Wekly market at Castelnau Durban. Fresh vegetables, local goats cheese, locally made artisanal bread, organic epicure.
In the village there is a bakery and general store as well as a cafe.
Chez Victor is an excellent restaurant of repute among the locals serving a wide variety of regional meals as well as a daily set meal, available monday to saturday.
to book the gite you may do so directly from this website now as long as the availability calendar is showing the gite as free. Arrival day is a Saturday, arriving not before 2.00pm. departure is Saturday 10.00am.
